Description
Arizona State University invites applications for the position of Director of
the High Performance Computing Center at the Ira A. Fulton School of
Engineering. The Director may also hold a tenured faculty position in an
appropriate academic department based on the applicantsā background,
ranking, publication, and research record.
The Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering High Performance Computing (HPC) at
Arizona State University offers world-class high performance computing to the
School's researchers and their industrial partners. ASU has a well
established reputation in promoting high-performance computational research
to serve the University's and the Arizona's high-end
computational needs. This includes supporting research in Engineering,
Physical Sciences, Informatics, Bio-Informatics, Life Sciences and Earth and
Space Sciences Exploration, etc. This position is full-time. The start date
is negotiable and the salary is competitive depending on the experience
level. The Director may have a faculty position based on the
applicants' research track record, publications, and experience.
Partial list of responsibilities includes (not limited to these):
¢ Leadership and management of HPC at ASU.
¢ Development of HPC Mission and Strategy.
¢ Research and Development in academic programs related to high
performance computing systems, software, algorithms and applications
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: PhD in the related areas of Engineering, Computer
Science, Informatics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computational Science,
Applied Mathematics or other relevant discipline.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in HPC Research and Development.
A successful record of managing large scale programs in HPC.
